My Name is Renee Ruming and I have Down Syndrome – This is My Story
For my entire life, my family has loved and spoiled me. I have been to lots of musicals, have a large CD and DVD collection and love basically all things musical. In my spare time I like watching movies and I almost like dogs, but not cats but I do like ponies.
I love my friends and especially my boyfriend Shaun who also has Down Syndrome.
One day I would like to work with Michelle Dalton, she is my mentor (don’t tell her I said that). She is very excited for me to be learning to build my own business. I like sports and I have been with Special Olympics for many years now training in basketball and golf. I have won medals in both at the National Games over the years.
Living with my mum on the Sunshine Coast is something I love. Surrounding myself with talented professionals and friends encourages me to develop my own talents. I now represent people with disabilities who have talent that maybe other people didn’t see or know about and my business is called RR Pixie Talent Agency (I love pixies).
I am currently training at the Nambour Connection’s Café as a waitress and barista and at GPAI Creative with Michelle learning business and retail. Now that I am a blogger, I have a lot to share with my readers.
